You don't need an account to use a CookGuide, and we don't track you.
When you use a CookGuide
We record anonymous usage so manufacturers can understand how their products are cooked. This includes:
- which CookGuide was opened, and which version;
- the choices you make, such as frozen or chilled, oven or air fryer, microwave power, and language;
- whether you started, finished, or viewed all instructions;
- feedback you choose to give (yes or no, and optional fixed reasons; no free text);
- your country, as provided by our network, and nothing more precise.
Events are grouped by a random identifier that exists only in your current browser tab. We don't use cookies for this, our analytics don't record IP addresses or device identifiers, we don't build profiles, and we don't use advertising trackers.
On your device
Your chosen language and display settings (text size, contrast, °C/°F) are stored in your browser's local storage so CookGuide can remember them. You can clear them at any time through your browser.
Food businesses using CookGuide
Account holders' names and email addresses are used to provide the service and are never sold.
